ABOUT SHOE WEEK
Days before NYFW, Shoe Week was noted in Oprah Magazine within Gayle King's (Editor at Large) 6 Favorite Things about September within the September Issue and online! This definitely set the tone as we went into our second season of Shoe Week's NYFW! Without question, our NYFW presented its 5 Senses of Style for this season. We introduced our favorite designers to fashion influencers, fashion media and more through a week long window installation with SCHEE Shoes at Angelica Flowers and Events, a penthouse presentation at MiMA penthouse with Elly Clay Shoes and Von Vonni and in addition to a number of events throughout this season, we closed with "A Night in Marrakech" with Alejandra G Shoes and AMARA with DJ Eloy and beverages provided by SMIRNOFF Sorbet Light. With a successful season, we have a number of events planned in the fall and holiday season of 2013. We're also excited for our future NYFW seasons to continue to showcase our footwear designers. Shoe Week launched During NYFW in Sept 2012 with a week's worth of events including runway shows, mixers, panels, presentations and a closing party. Our focus is to ensure that footwear designer are able to not only be paired with apparel designers but to also receive recognition. This pairing allows our invited media, influencers and fashion attendees to fully engage with the presentations. With coverage in the Huffington Post, Departure Magazine (American Express) and Footwear News, we're excited to come back for our second season during NYFW in Sept 2013. In addition to events that we create, we work throughout the year with designers to assist them in styling their runway shows, lookbooks and additional events - with the perfect shoes to complete their look. Shoe Week's purpose is twofold, to ensure that regardless of the project that we connect footwear designers (and their complementary accessories) and apparel brands together in a dynamic way, while also being a time saving resource to connect these parties. |
